Anambra: Man kills wife, daughter with shovel: Police
Chukwuemeka Obijofa, 28, has been arrested by the Anambra State police for killing his wife and daughter with a shovel at Ozobulu.
The police spokesman, Haruna Mohammed revealed in a statement that the suspect attacked his wife, Chisom Chukwuemeka, 26, and their four-year-old daughter, Amanda Chukwuemeka on the head with a shovel.
He also attacked the vigilante officer that tried to rescue his family until police officers came to their rescue and rushed victims to the hospital, but his wife and daughter were confirmed dead by a medical doctor, the statement said.
The Commissioner of Police, John Abang, directed that the case should be transferred to State CID, Awka for further investigations.
