Kim Kardashian ‘wants out’ of six-year marriage to Kanye West, seeks divorce
American socialite Kim Kardashian is unswerving in her quest to exit her six-year marriage to veteran rapper Kanye West, New York Post’s celebrity gossip site Page Six is reporting.
Mrs. Kardashian, 40, has reportedly hired prominent divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to commence settlement talks, insider sources told the media outlet, all but clearing paths for her potentially third divorce.
“They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source was quoted to have said. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”
The actress and media personality, who’s currently separated from her husband, has long done away with her wedding ring, sources said.
The reason for the divorce could not be immediately ascertained, but sources familiar with the matter hinged the couple’s separation on Mr. West’s growing irritation for the Kardashian family, whose reality show he finds “unbearable,” Page Six reported.
The celebrity couple could have been long divorced, but for Mr. West’s tumultuous battle with bipolar, Page Six said.
Kanye West, 43, a multiple Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter has unveiled plans to run for the U.S. presidency in the nearest future, while his estranged wife is on the verge of taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer — ambitions they will now pursue independently along with their four kids.
