Gunmen abduct Ex-Bauchi lawmaker Ningi
A former member of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abdulmumuni Ningi has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
The incident occurred on Thursday around 8p.m. at his residence within Bauchi metropolis.
The assailants who were four in number, stormed Mr. Ningi’s residence located at BSADP, behind Isah Yuguda Guest House with a red Volkswagen car.
Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil made the disclosure Friday afternoon in a telephone interview with Peoples Gazette.
Mr. Wakil disclosed that the former lawmaker abductors trailed him to his house and whisked him away at gun point.
“Yes it’s true. Honourable Abdulmumuni Ningi, a former member of Bauchi State House of Assembly was kidnapped on Thursday at about 20:00hours.
The kidnappers who were four in number, trail him up to his house at BSADP, behind Isah Yuguda guest house in Bauchi.”
“Up til now we’ve not heard any response from the kidnappers they are yet to contact any member of hid family.
We are making frantic efforts to secure his release. We will do our best to rescue him.” Mr. Wakil said.
The former lawmaker represented Ningi Constituency in the in the 8th Assembly.
