Former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday said he and President Muhammadu Buhari share the same desire for a better Nigeria.

Mr. Tinubu, an All Progressive Congress chieftain, in a statement congratulating Mr. Buhari on his 78th birthday, said Mr. Buhari wants the best for Nigeria.

“You are a true patriot who wants the best for the nation and I join you in this desire, Mr. Tinubu said. “May Almighty Allah bless these efforts and support us so that at the end of the day we shall overcome and that Nigeria must stand as a prosperous and peaceful nation.”

Despite Mr. Tinubu’s glowing tribute, the Bihari administration has been fraught with allegations of disregard for rule of law, human rights abuses, economic somersaults and increasing insecurity.

Mr. Tinubu, is also said to be gunning for presidency come 2023, despite being exposed to be involved in high profile corruption scandal in a series of exclusive stories published by Peoples Gazette.

He, however, appears to be a sacred cow, as government anti-corruption watchdog, EFCC under Mr. Buhari’s watch looks away from the many damning evidences of corruption linked to him.
